Galician food is one of the strongest reasons to explore La Coruna independently. Even on short calls, you can sample authentic regional dishes without a long transfer.

Cruise ships dock at Muelle de Transatlánticos, La Coruña's main cruise terminal on the Atlantic waterfront. María Pita Square and the historic centre lie 10–15 minutes on foot along a flat promenade. Santiago de Compostela is roughly 75 km inland — typically 1–1.25 hours each way by coach. Confirm your all-aboard time and keep a 60–90 minute buffer before departure.
